all this talk lately about tolbunt I had to go look them up. They are pretty but I was wondering what would the color/pattern be called? Is there any place that explains the coloring of them? thanks

In most Tolbunts it is a Gold Laced feathering with white tips - Can be done with a Millie Fleur type pattarn over a Gold Laced pattern. However, the desired color for Tolbunts is actually the Mille Fleur/Brown Partridge type, where there is no lacing but instead the feather should be 50% reddish brown, then with a 25% black blob, then a 25% white tip.

Since the genetic and physical diversity of Tolbunts is so slim in the US, though, most Tolbunts have a very "mish-mash" type coloring where each feather or region of feathers holds a different percentage, and in most cases the feathers have black lacing, not "blobs."

Course, someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

The hobby name is Tolbunt, it is fairly common in Europe.
Genetically it is a Mottled Gold Laced bird. eb/eb Co/Co Ml/M/ Pg/Pg mo/mo
Many people mix it up with the Mille Fleur which is similar but not the same.
Crossing to Mille Fleur creates major problems.
