Tom pretty much ignored his hen for the most part. now that all are grown I think I would up with all female guineas. Now that spring is here the Tom is all bowed up, wants to attack anyone that goes into the pen. the guineas keep running the turkey hen away and pecking at her. I finally had to put her in a separate enclosure this weekend. she had sores on her back from the pecking.

my questions are is this normal, for different species to attach. if I get some male guineas will this turn around. can the Tom actually breed with these guineas. I would think not, but I have never had different birds act way toward each other. I have a small place 4-5 acres. I keep male goats in separate pasture. Female goats, guineas, the two turkeys, and chickens in a smaller separate pasture. the chickens and guineas can fly over and/or squeeze thru fencing and they free range all day, go inside at night. the two turkeys are too large to fly over or get thru fence.
