Tom or hen?

This is one of my nearly three month old red bourbon turkey. I have had some people say its a hen and other people a tom turkey. What do you all think?

This is one of my nearly three month old red bourbon turkey. I have had some people say its a hen and other people a tom turkey. What do you all think?

Too young to sex from pictures. When it gets its adult feathers, a hen's breast feathers will have light colored edges and a tom's breast feathers will have dark or black colored edges.

Juveniles of both sexes have the light colored lower edges on their breast feathers.

The image you posted shows juvenile feathers.

Difficult to say from those pictures. For sex identification, post 3 images. One full frontal shot, one full side shot and one from above and behind showing the back of the neck and top of the head.

All photos need to be in focus and without any motion blur.

How old is the turkey?
