Hello! So I really need some help! seen this comment and I really need to do some testing on my flock. They have been sick since November when I added 3 different flocks together into my existing flock. (Stupid decision) They had coccasiosis. I treated with corid that cleared up. However when it's bad weather and they are in the coop they get Sneezy and coughing. I treated with tiagard, doxycycline, every home remedy you can think of. Sneezing/coughing always comes back. They almost always have runny green poop. They are super skinny but weirdly large sized if that makes sense. I feed high value food I also give wet mash with deer meat scratch grains rooster booster, poultry cell and B12 once a week - once every two weeks. Some have like flakey skin in places. A few also have swollen feet with the absence of bumblefoot but swelling that would indicate bumblefoot curled toes, swollen eyes (not swollen shut but puffy) , pale combs and waddles. I have 27 chicks in a brooder inside completely away from existing flock.
But anyways, I'm unsure how to use the website I seen someone share. I see there's a submission form. Where do I need to submit to? And I'm just not exactly sure how to even fill out the form. Any help is appreciated. I've already dropped thousands of dollars into my flock trying to get them better. today i did a necropsy, and i believe what found shows me strongly that its MS. with that being said, id like to sell hatching eggs and chicks. so that means clean slate.... absolutely heart breaking... anyways, I'm going to attach photos i took. please let me know what you think. also going to post the comment of the website i seen for testing. thank you so much in advance

Hi,

You didn't bring up deworming them. Have you done that at all or recently? Them being on all this great food and nutrition you're giving them and still being skinny and pooping green could be caused from worms.

Here's the website you were referring to:
https://www.vetdna.com/test-type/avian-bird

I'll tag a few who might be able to tell something from your necropsy. @Eggcessive @Wyorp Rock @azygous

Hi,

First, I'm lost with what website and form you're talking about. This particular forum I moved your post to, does have a guideline of questions it asks to be answered, if used. Otherwise, there's nothing here you need to fill out and submit. Just do as you did and describe the issue(s) and folks will jump in if they know how to help.

hello, thank you for your response. ive never used this site before so im hoping my photos actually uploaded. its the last photo attached. website is called vetdna.com they ask you to fill out a submission from but from what i could see and find they dont tell you where to send it once filled.
during the necropsy i did not see any worms or parasites at all and i was hoping so badly thats what i would find. instead she had loaaads of fat EVERYWHERE and very low muscle mass. puss in her sinus cavity and in her hock joints dark spots on her lungs.
and i dewormed last in fall. was planning to deworm again in spring. but as stated above im kinda over dumping money into this flock when it feels like nothing i do improves their quality of life.

After I reread your post a couple of times I figured it out and edited mine. Please go reread my post.

I've never used RAL but from what I understand, you first have to order the collection supplies. I would presume they'll send you everything you need including instructions of where to send it. Maybe someone who has used them before will come along to explain it, but it's not BYC's site, they're an independent lab.
