Tom trill

What does it mean when a tom turkey trills at you?

I've been trying to find info on the different sounds and colors of the turkeys but I'm really having a hard time finding it.

Any info on the red/white/blue of the tom neck also?

Trilling could be a couple things.
1. If he's agitated it's a challenge and wants to fight.
2. Could be excitement. I have one that's trills like crazy when I am feeding or watering.

Head colors.
Red. Agitated, mad, showing dominence.

White. Submissive or contented.

Blue. Ready to mate.

For the most part these colors are what I've noticed from my toms.

Tripling is almost always aggression and it means the turkey wants to fight.
