I've been reading a lot of stuff here on the BYC and they say to talk and tap on the bator window. They say it helps to encourage them to get the heck outta that shell. Hahaha yesterday was my hatch day and I started talking and tapping and my dogs started looking at me funny ! Lol I think they thought I might have lost it for sure that time!!!!

Can you please explain what you mean about the 24th day? I was wondering if after I take the babies out of the hatcher (72 hours right?) how long can I leave the eggs in the hatcher? When I remove the chicks is that when I should pip the rest of the eggs? Oh I read your BYC page and I have 6 dogs which three of them are Boxers

Nothing yet, i don't know how long to give em. Hatch day was friday, today is day 24. Ick, they smell funny too...

Yesterday we put the 6 chicks that hatched in the brooder and My husband and I candled the eggs to see if we could see anything. The eggs that looked like there just might be a chick in it we put in one pile and the others in another pile. We did what L*A*G* said to do

Ours were starting to smell too! The sad news is none of the other eggs were any good but at least we found out early enough before a stink bomb went off!
