We used to have a wild hedgehog who lived in our back yard, when we were kids. We would feed him/her bread and milk. Probably not the healthiest, but he/she loved it. My mother is NOT a huge animal lover, but I think she didn't mind it coming around because she figured it ate slugs.

Hedgehogs are adorable!
