My barred rock chicks are almost 4 weeks old and I've been feeding them starter. The store I buy the feed at didn't have any more, so I bought grower. Is it okay to switch, or should I try to find starter somewhere else?

Thanks

Essentially, they should be on starter until the are 8 weeks old. I don't think the grower will hurt them, though.

Won't hurt, but it is usually a bit light on protein. Check and see. If it is 14% or 16% protein, they may eat a lot of it trying to nourish themselves. If it is 16%-19% protein Grower, they'll be just fine. Some companies don't even make "separate" Starter and Grower products, but sort of combine them as Starter-Grower.
