I got this Khaki Campbell duck and it is only like a month old, it is starting to get these blue thick wing feathers coming in, is this any indication that its a male?

Ive raised pekins and Khakis from ducklings, the pekins could be distinguished in a month by voice, the khakis took longer, and the voice was still the only way to know before they FULLY feathered out. My one khaki girl was getting similar coloring to yours, I thought drake for sure, until the first QUACK!

Not to sound dumb here but how do you tell by their voice? I have heard it mentioned before but have never looked into it as these are our first ducks

Females are the only ones who QUACK and thats unmistakeable. The males sound like an old smoker with laryngitis trying to yell "rrraaaabbb, and its not very loud at all"

Those are its first wing feathers growing in, they won't help you to tell its sex, but soon it will be all pretty! :)
