So I have both chicken and Ducks who just started laying in the past 2 weeks. Most of the eggs are fertilized that I have cracked. My question is this. Can I incubate eggs from 18 week chickens and 21 week ducks or do I have to wait until they mature a little more? I know they wont go broody for awhile so I will have to incubate them.

Okay. Next question. What do I need to do? How to I store the eggs until ready for incabator? And how long can I store them until they go into the incubator?

store them at room temp. you can keep them for about 10 days but the longer you wait the less the chance they will hatch.

Anybody have any pointers for someone starting out? Also my rooster is a speckled Sussex and pullets are 3 red sex links, 3 lehghirns and 1 Sussex. Besides the obvious Sussex what will the outcomes be?

just keep temp at 99-100 if the temp strays from 95-102 dont be too worried. humidity needs to be 35-55% the first 18 days then 70-85% the last 3 days.
