That makes me think of a question. I just got my chicks in today. I put them in their area with a heat lamp like you're instructed to do. They have plenty of room (6 foot circle), but it will be in the upper 80's and 90's this week. Will it be too hot for them? The coop has a metal roof and just one open window in the laying side of the coop. On the other hand (in typical New Mexico form) it will be in the 50's at night.
