Even though it is still April we have been into the 90's every day here in Central Florida. In order to try and alleviate the heat I installed a misting system that I purchased at Home Depot. Since I have a 16 foot run I put the misters at one end where it only mists about 1/3 of the run. At first the chicks (five weeks) were a bit leary but after a while they seemed to really like it. It certainly cools it down considerably where it is misting and I can tell the difference. We are going to have a long, hot summer and I think this system combined with the ceiling fan will make their days in the run a bit more comfortable.
