I stay up pretty late and when there's any activity, the chicks are up with me.
They are less than a week old and up until 11 or later.
Are they getting enough sleep? Whenever one falls asleep, one of the others steps on it and it wakes up again.

They will sleep when they need to sleep and will take naps in the day too...do not worry...if you want to help them out..use a RED heat bulb

Best Wishes,
Laura

My chicks didn't really start "sleeping through the night" until the heat lamp was off. Once there were no more lights at all, they would quiet down when it was dark and stay asleep all night. Of course, by then, they were just about ready to go out into the coop...

We're using a red heat bulb at the moment, and they seem to be settling down. I was wooried about my tiny Polish chick, who seemed to be tired but everyone kept stepping on her.
