Our Bourbon Red has been sitting on her nest for about 4 months. She doesn’t have any eggs though. She will get up and eat and drink. Her Tom will sometimes sit next to her and try to get her off the nest. He does mount her while she’s on the nest too. How do I get her off the nest?

Physically remove her from the nest. Place an obstruction there so she cannot get back to the nest.

Toms should not be allowed to have access to a hen's nest. They should not be allowed to mount a hen that is on her nest. It usually doesn't work out well for the hen.

It can be helpful to provide something the hen can easily get up on for when she is trying to avoid the tom's breeding attempts.
