@Eckielady
 I mean this with all due respect, so forgive me if it sounds rude because I absolutely do have no intentions on making this sound rude but last I checked you jumped onto me first...

@junebuggena
 I never belittled anyone whatsoever. I stated how I felt and that's that, and I will continue to do so (state my opinion) - and you're absolutely right we all have our own opinions, as many have freely expressed theirs I will in turn continue to express mine. My opinions have not changed whatsoever, I will continue to believe and openly state that I believe killing a bird because it's a male is wrong, and that is my opinion. Again telling someone to not comment because they have a different opinion is silly, who gets the right to tell someone to leave all because they believe differently? Last I checked I never posted to cause any drama / issues, all I did was say how I felt and of course people took an issue with that, I am sorry they did but I stand by what I said / say. The mob / majority may think they rule, but I don't really care, I am not the type to go and hide in a corner, persecution don't bother me any, I stand bravely in the face of such things.

As for everyone else, if anyone else has a problem with how I feel I am truly sorry, but please do not harass or goad me, and then turn around and tell me to keep quite or leave, because again that's very hypocritical and contradictory. This is a topic, I have the right to post here just like everyone else and I will continue to do so. I am sorry if what I said offended anyone or will offend someone in the future but I cannot in good conscious retract any of what I said, I continue to stand by and agree that killing a bird based on it's sex and appearances is immoral and quite selfish. If one wants to kill them for meat alright I can understand that, and perhaps I could possibly understand putting them out of their misery even though I tend to disagree, anyhoo as for any other reasons I am sorry I just cannot fathom it or even agree with it / condone it. Sorry.
Why do you keep repeating the same thing. I've read your opinion multiple times now, which has nothing to do with the OP and their original question. You are starting to sound like a bully.

Again I will touch base on the cliques here, most of the individuals telling me to leave etc etc. have thousands of posts under their belt, and me I am just a newbie or "out of the brooder", anyway it's so easy to attack the new guy, but it takes compassion to welcome them in and actually converse with them. I couldn't imagine how a new person would feel if they too were greeted with the same hostility that I have been greeted with, wait I have seen it happen in another post... a newbie asked like 8 questions and they were told to do an advanced search, come on how hard is it to welcome the new person in and answer their questions??? but then again most forums have these cliques where the individuals with the most posts rule the roost, ehh I do not concern myself with these things, it don't bother me really, because cliques are not my thing.

Hmm, if you could quote me where I "jumped" on you that would be super helpful. Thanks!!

Hypocrite. done with this discussion.

Again another assumption, someone else assuming I am against meat eaters... no I am against those who cull birds based on their sex and for aesthetics reasons... but oh well... I don't owe you or anyone else an explanation. I am glad you are done with this discussion really I am, I never intended to have one, but unfortunately a discussion well more so an "attack" is what I got for merely stating an opinion...

Late me state for the record my original post had everything to do with the OP even though many have said it did not -
It is possible to keep every rooster whilst separating the hens so no rooster has to die, of course rehoming a few can also be an option.
The OP asked if anyone had success with keeping more than one rooster, and I have had success with more than one rooster. Sadly that post turned into all of this all because of people assuming things... they can't just let me have an opinion, they have to attack my opinion with their opinion, at the same time trying to silence me, while goading me, how could I be silenced if I am goaded and asked the silliest questions? it makes no sense... it's utter confusion... again I pity the newbie who gets greeted with such hostility.

While I didn't post it, I have no doubt the hypocrite comment was in reference to you saying you do eat hamburgers and chicken. Those animals were killed because they were male. While you may not have been involved in the actual act, you are supporting the exact thing you are arguing against.

All parties in this discussion are passionate and well meaning. As this has escalated, tho, words like "silly," "wrong," "goaded," "rude," and "for the record" have crept in.

It isn't productive, the arguments have been made thrice over, and the poster who suggested "agree to disagree" had it right.

As a newbie I have found members, new and seasoned, to be helpful, even tho many of my questions have probably been answered a hundred times over.
