Too many roosters?

I just discovered another Of my Silkies is a rooster, so now 2, possibly a 3rd one. I only have 4 hens. I know this is a problem, should I rehome 1 or 2?

Hi! I am a mama to 4 roosters so I understand. With so few hens I'd rehome at least one. I make sure that each man had 6-8 lady friends and they get along great.

I wouldn't keep more than 2. Silkies seem to be docile enough you can easily get away with trios if seperated

Option 1- Keep 1 rooster with your hens and rehome the others.

Option 2- Put all your roosters together in a bachelor pen separate from your hens and keep them that way.

Option 3- Get more hens and try keeping one bigger flock together, but be prepared to split the flock if roosters stop getting along with each other.

@JacinLarkwell , good to know. I've never had silkies (though one day I will). I have BRs, Lavender Orpingtins, and Black austrolorps

With four hens, I would keep one and only one.
