Too many snacks causing chicks to not eat regular food... Is this possible ?

I have recently begun treating my 4 & 5 week girls to crickets and scratch. It seems that they are now completely disinterested in their starter feed. I work every day but when I get home it seems that they aren't eating much.

If they are hungry, they will eat, right ?

If you give kids all the candy and ice cream that they want, will they eat their vegetables? Of course not. Same is true of all animals. Many recommend no more than 10 % of a chicken's diet should be made up of treats.
