Thought I’d post some of my chickens here. Likely they won’t suit the show people since they are not show stock, but I want meat and eggs and a project of my own. I don’t show.

I am hatching WLR Cornish at present and since it seems they are hard to find, it is hard to just eat her eggs!

One dark Cornish chick had a couple white feathers in its wing. Not sure what that means if anyone cares to comment.

This is my only WLR hen.

The rooster had and looks like still has scaly leg mites. That is how I got him, he was much worse. Solid stocky build and 9 # totally free range with NO extra food from me at all. So he is leaner than if I would feed him, but he breeds well and takes great care of his hens. Fun to watch. I am not 100% sure where these two grown WLR originate and I got the eggs to hatch the DC from the same area of Oregon.

The young ones are 12 weeks old, the older chicks are 15 weeks.
And I have newly hatched WLR’s and more on the way.

Anyone care to explain to me what spangled is. I saw one that simply looked like WLR. So I’m missing something.

Your Cornish all appear to definitely be Hatchery stock, the grow out will be slow they do take some time to develop. But since quality is not one of your concerns you will have a good start. Dark Cornish sometimes have some white spot's on their wings and should disapear as they get older and for sure after their first molt.
