Too many worms

So in East Tennessee, we are having a ton of rain, which is bringing a bounty of red worms , my chickens are having a feast! My biggest concern is the the possibility of them getting gape worms in their throats,
do I need to be concerned? Any suggestions for prevention? Thanks in advance! My girls are 1 year - 3 years old

They can only get it if a worm is carrying the parasite, and that's very rare. Gapeworms are not very common at all.

Those worms are a great source of protein and other vitamins/minerals.
