Can chicks eat too much grit??

These 5 little Silkies DEVOUR the grit I put in there faster than their food, it seems! Of course, there's much more food than grit, so it may just seem that way. But should I restrict the amount of grit??

Try mixing it really well with the food that way they don't get the chance to be so selective

Chicks don't need a lot of grit. In fact, too much will do more harm than good.
If you feed a good chick ration, they won't need more.

I suggest you remove it and simply stick to their feed.
