too much humditiy?

is too much humditiy a bad thing?what would be the limit? i have the incubator in my basement. windows open and it rained heavy yesterday.

a temporary surge in humidity usually wont cause damage, humidity over 65% for a long period of time (2 or more days) may cause damage.

to help you relax a little, when a hen is setting on eggs does it ever rain?

on days 1-14 any extra moisture can be balanced out that is why you check on days 7 and 14 to see where the air cell is it helps you figure out if there is too much fluid in the egg.
