Need help from someone more experienced. I have 5 hens and 1 (not too fast) rooster with a limp. All get along pretty well socially but my rooster prefers two of the hens to the others. One hen likes his attention. One little easter egger hates it. One can stand up for herself. Two can run really fast. The little easter egger hides in the hen house and seldom never comes out without having to "pay her dues." She has no back feathers and can only come out to eat if roo is confined. I confine him for most of the day but wonder if there is not a better way to solve this problem for my little easter egger. Ideas?

Welcome to BYC. You can buy a chicken saddle/apron for your EE, it'll protect her back and sides. Seperating your rooster will only make him more determined to mate with your EE. It's normally recommended 1 rooster per 10 hens. Get some more hens.
