i'm not one of the experts (at all), but i was just going to mention that down here in the humid part of the world, it seems like a little wetness is always going to be a problem, but that concrete slab should help to keep them cooler in the hotter summer months that are coming.
i'm mentioning this because i'm not sure how much our beloved northern friends can relate to the level of humidity in this part of the continent.....even when it hasn't been raining.
