too old to give to broody hen?

I have 2 broody hens, a silkie and a bantam cochin. They've both been broody for a few months. I found some d'uccle and sebright chicks who are 3-4 days old. Are they too old to give to my hens?

I think it depends on your hen. I have one that would take them for sure. I would try and just watch her closely

Go ahead and try it and just keep an eye on them. Put them underneath her and see if they accept her. They have to accept her as much as she needs to accept them.
