Too soon for freedom ?

I just slipped 8 - 4 day old chicks under Tarasita the broody Barred Rock Thursday, 3 days ago, and she already has them out of the brooder, and into the back room of the coop. They have been in contact with the rest of the flock, and so far so good !

Is this a good thing ??? Or should I confine them better ??? Should I just go ahead and give them access to the rest of the coop ???

To be clear, these babies are not even a week old, and this is my first time hovering over new babies !

Any advice is welcome.

If mama is keeping them safe and warm, they're fine.

Cool. I figured in nature there is no cages, or barriers. I didn't think she would get them out so soon though !
