Today it was beautiful out, and as the chicks are now 2 weeks old with some good looking feathers, I brought them outside after a long day at work.
We were all standing by the coop, watching the girls very closely. We were taking video and snapping photos, and just enjoying their silly chicken antics.
When suddenly... two robins dive bombed out of the sky directly at the chicks! We panicked!! I admit to letting out a scream- and the chicks went wild! Two threw themselves to the ground with their wings flat, one ran to hide under some bushes, and the other ran under my feet. We saw both robins land on a wire by our house. My sister and I grabbed two each, and ran them inside!! They were so scared. Once back in the brooder they all laid on the ground (still in hide mode) and we checked them for injuries. Thank goodness- all were okay. Not a scratch. They were still scared though, so we clucked to them for a while and they seem to be much calmer.
I wish I was still filming when it happened to share it with you all. I had JUST turned off the camera when it happened. I'll have to post the video of what I did get.

Has anyone ever heard of "Attack Robins" before??

! don't worry, they were just trying to scare the "predators" (your chickies) away! the same thing happened to me only it was a HAWK not a robin! my sister and i grabbed a chicken each and ran inside! thankfully, they were both okay...

Well, on the bright side - no injuries and hopefully your birds will have learned to watch out for sky predators. Hopefully they will now know to hide if a Hawk tries to attack.

Occasionally the robins steal some food, but I've never seen them harass my birds --- however the smaller chicks are always in pens with tops coz of my older chickens so....

I'm a little curious about robin attacks
