Took the cornish x to the butcher today

Or rather, my husband did. I know it was time, she was 12 weeks old, didn't want her dying of a heart attack....
But she was such a nice chicken, always let me pet her. I am a little sad....

I know chickens aren't very smart, and the amount of consciousness they have is tiny compared to us, but still, there is some, and now we have taken that away from her.
At least she had a happy life while she was alive.
Also took the black austrolorpe rooster, he was a little axxhole! I won't miss him at all.

cheer up, if your cornish X was 12 weeks, sounds like she was on her way out the door of life anyway....
