After whining and complaining about the leghorn personality, I decided to sell them as they were just on the verge of laying eggs. Suddenly, I feel really good about what I did. I sold the birds to someone who wanted layers. I received my first eggs for FBCM, Blue Copper Marans, Cuckoo Marans and Blue Orpingtons. The roosters who I'm not planning on breeding will go into freezer camp.

I am thinking I'm doing the right things towards a self-sustaining flock. [IMG]

Marans, EEs and Orpingtons. A very good combination of birds! [IMG]
