It won't stop a determined hawk or other raptor - pretty easy to tear through.

That being said, I use it for part of my run with no problems. And I have the occasional owl using the main run / coop as his nighttime lookout spot.

Having been deer netting shopping recently, I didn't even need to hit the link to know what you're referring to...lol. It will keep your chickens in, and unless a hawk is really hungry and determined, I'd say it would deter them. But raccoons are great climbers, and if they climbed your fence and hit that, it would be like a knife through soft butter.
But if keeping your chickens contained is your main goal, and your chickens are locked inside housing each night, then I think it'd work.

Lowes has it probably cheaper than you'll find it anywhere else... (edited to add that comment...lol)

well i do lock my chickens in at night but during the day we have an abundance of hawks......chicken wire is too expensive for me to put over.....

You can also use the gray Electrical Conduit PVC pipe to create a 'frame' to rest the netting over. It's UV resistant, and can usually be found for cheaper than the normal white PVC pipe.
