TOP QUALITY BLRW eggs from DARK blue parents...

Wow Nancy, what beautiful blrw's you have. I am just getting started and so excited to be getting my chicks this coming week from two different breeders, and I must say that I hope to have beautiful birds like you and Katy someday. What an inspiration! Any words of wisdom for this "new egg"?

How many hens and roosters do you keep for breeding? How many chicks do you raise for replacements?

I tried your site but pulled up a bunch of adds. A bit too much to sift through to find you there.

Sorry it was a misread that lead me to the conclusion as Hoppy does have hens exactly like you posted so it was very easy for me to jump to the wrong conclusion especially after reading Kathy's commit on selling you the birds. If these are yours then you have my humble apology.

Katy, how many blrw's do you have in your breeding flock and how many do you raise for replacements?

I've downsized my flock and only have about 12 BLRW hens now. The last several years I've hatched out at least 75 BLRW chicks per year. Not doing that much hatching this year.

Katy, How long before do you keep a breeding hen before replacing her? How large of an area and size of a coop did you use to raise 75 chicks?

Also Katy, how many different bloodlines do you have and are you still integrating different lines or just using your own line? Thanks for all your help.

I'm not meaning this to be rude, but I don't think someone else's auction is probably the best place to chatting about my birds.
