Because everyone here is so friendly that you ALWAYS can find somebody to talk or cry with.

Because the staff keep everything running SOOOO smoothly! Or at least, that's what it looks like from this side.

Where else could I ask why my chicken's poop is blue? (It was all the red cabbage, BTW.) Seriously, I would have killed my chickens for serious lack of knowledge when I got them. Maybe not killed them, but their little lives have been much better than they would have been. I love that this place is very family friendly, the administrators and moderators are so helpful, and the members are truly wonderful people. The change has taxed my very computer illiterate self, but ONWARD & UPWARD

I'm almost 100 percent sure they have had just as much troubles with it over the years that I have with some of my smallbasic programs. :/

But they do do an excellent job.

Owner involvement that keeps this site my Happy Place.

The people here! Animal people are the friendliest people in the world!
First hand knowledge about animals. Posters live the experience and pass the info along to others.
I don't have to worry about being attacked for my opinions.

I started with 3 hens in 2007. Thanks to BYC members, I have over 30 now, saved some of their lives, hatched eggs, built several coops, had company for my coffee breaks outside, got eggs from other members, ......

go to BYC the first thing in the morning and the last thing at night, can't wait to get on and discuss why my chicken did what..........

I'm sure there's alot more reasons!

because friends online met through byc have become friends offline with faces and families and beautiful chickens....byc is my extended family!

Because I really really LOVE seeing all the cute chicks and chickens here in the pictures. Adorable photos and seeing everyone's coops is so much fun, too.
