I really dislike the government in all its bloated forms. I work. I pay massive amounts of taxes. Property taxes,road and bridge anything they can conceive of, they tax.

In Texas Turkeys and ducks (ALL TYPES)are considered game fowl. I don't really think they enforce it.They would have a shortage of game wardens if I know most of the people around here.

Just placed 59 Bobwhite eggs in the bator. Have another 100 of coturnix from James Marie farms should be here Friday.

Just curious. If you breed bobwhite what do you do with them? Are they kept as fowl or turned loose? At what age?

This is my first foray into the bobwhites. To be honest I haven't got that far in my thinking. Its a long journey from the egg to process. I will probably follow the same path as I've done with my other birds. Some I sell,some I eat. I'd love to see the bobs back running wild here like they did when I was a kid. The problem with that,there is a REASON you don't see them anymore. I like birds,that in itself is enough for me.
