Once again a guinea has torn a claw. The last one I treated as was suggested and it is fine now. The current problem is the back claw is torn part way off and hanging and bleeding quite a bit. My son and I tried blue cote and then flour to stop the bleeding. The only results were a fat lip from a good wing to the face and a bloody hand from a good peck. Main thing I need to know is do I trim it off of let it come off on it's own? I wasn't sure if claws bleed like on a dog if cut too short.

I would cut it so it doesn't get ripped off worse. It's going to bleed like crazy, no doubt, but at least you will be around to control it if needed whereas if it rips off while you aren't around it's still going to bleed like crazy, but you won't be able to help.

I'd also wear hockey gear when doing it.

I feel your pain. I nearly had my arm broken by an irate goose last week.

Good luck.

I'm with CMV, cut off the broken part with dog nail clippers. Initially it will bleed, but will then heal much faster than if just left hanging on and causing a constant irritation.
