Torn skin on back near wing - Advice please!

I have a 8 month old hen. I just noticed that she has torn skin on back near wing. I assume from the rooster. The wound is not currently bleeding but there is some dried blood on the feathers near the wound. What should I do to help the wound heal? I have made a backpack like cover out of a hotpad to place over her wings and across her back to prevent further damage. But I am worried about the damage already done. Any advice would be appreciated.

I would wash it and put antibiotic cream on it. that should heal in no time. If it doesnt heal, I have crushed antibiodics in yogurt with cheerios. Some where on line there is the doseage.

You might want to separate her from the flock for a day or two, but be careful when you put her back that the pecking order has not been disturbed greatly.
