Tornados... Checking in/still alive.

To all those touched by these horrific storms you are in my thoughts and prayers. We only had the beginning of these storms here and they were bad enough....relentless storms with tornados and only touch downs in places.

I cannot imagine what it would be like.

My Internet and cell phone coverage is spotty at best, so I'm checking in while we are at pizza hut.

Preliminary findings is that is was a EF-4 that hit limestone, Madison, and dekalb counties in Alabama with 258 fatalities at this time just here in Alabama.

We went to the tanner community and just to see those massive TVA towers twisted and on the ground was just something else. I have pictures and will post when my Internet is up. Churches and homes just leveled, I sat and cried .

Hey if anyone from the cullman area could tell me if Brickyard Meat and the graveman family made it okay. I've been trying to get a hold of them to make sure they are okay. Rhanks

Hey we are lucky as well no damage just no electricity or hot water and such but no complaints from me. Lots of damage in town. It is very sad but I am thankful none the less.

here was an EF 5 that hit right down the road from us and it is horrible. Not a densly populated area but still a lot of people dead. That storm was headed for us when we went in the tornado shelter and it turned and leveled that other poor town. It's a scary thing to grab what you can and go underground not knowing what you will fing when you emerge. I just thank God we came out to see that everything was ok but my heart goes out to the folks that have nothing left. If anybody that's reading this didn't get any damage and can help I know gatorade, water, baby diapers and personal hygeine products are needed badly. Go help out if you can.

Glad to hear from all of you praying for those affected by these storms. I wonder has any one heard from Kristyhall I have not seen her and I know her area was hit earlier.

I was thinking about you when I saw the radar for north GA.

Sometimes those mountains stop the tornadoes....
