Hello! I'm the proud mom of three EEs, or Americaunas, who knows. I'm pretty sure they're Easter Eggers, except for one. So I was hoping you guys who are more experienced could provide some help and opinions. On both the usual "do I have a pullet or a roo?" question and if any are a true Americauna or not. The one I'm questioning is what I was told is a Wheaten colored. It came from a true Wheaten Americauna hen, I saw her, beautiful. Does that make the chick any more Americauna than the others? Can anyone tell by the pics if the others are possible Americauna or definite EE? Hopefully I got good enough pics for getting an idea on tue sex of the birds. They're 7 1/2 weeks old, kind of early, I know, but hopefully have some features you guys can recognise as roo or pullet. I read a lot of the posts on EE sexing but ended up more confused than I started with all the feather colors and what not. Here's some pics!

Hopefully someone's got some opinions! Of course I'm hoping for pullets and blue or green eggs, but I love these little buggers no matter what!

My guesses would be that the wheaten-like one is a boy, the gray is also a boy, the gray and white is a girl. Judging this from red/gold in the wings and comb size.

Are the girl's nostrils a bit plugged up or is that pigment/fuzz. That makes the comb look a bit bigger than it is, I think. Easy to clean if it's a plug.

I believe they're all EEs. EEs are any birds that carry the blue egg gene. There's no standard for them, so they can look like anything. Even a bird from two ameraucana parents that doesn't meet the standards is considered an EE. It's pretty strict. I think the first two chicks are males, and the last, a female.
This is a wheaten female (all pictures from http://www.ameraucana.org/scrapbook.html):

Rooster, rooster, pullet.

The first bird isn't wheaton colored, and that funky bubble-gum looking comb shows mixed heritage, as do the leg color.
Second birds looks like it could be a true Ameraucana to me, but I'll let someone more familiar with the breed standard say for sure.
Third bird also looks like it could be a true Ameraucana, but again I'll let someone else go there. Her color looks to be splash.

Well the dark grey one has been practicing his crowing for two days now! So, yup, cockerel! Thanks guys! Hes also been trying to "get with" the ladies already, earning him the possible name Heffner, lol. Thought its a bit early for that, and its freaking my girls out, they haven't seemed to figure out what's going on yet. And he's ultra snuggly with us, his nickname is snugglechicken, hope he doesn't lose that as he gets older!
