Total newbie asks "Does this coop design seem ok?"

Quote:
For you maybe.

Not for everyone though!

There are large swaths of the rest of the world that use the terms differently (in several various ways) and I do not see any sensible means for calling one set of terminology "right" and the others "wrong".

Rather than focusing on nomenclature I think it helps to just describe in words what one is referring to, as on a big forum like this (and with so many new people joining all the time) that really seems like the only way to handle different people coming from different traditions

All advice taken to heart! I start building the coop/run tomorrow. Not exactly sure just yet how big the coop will be, but I'll figure it out while I build(the overall dimensions are set for now but I still have time to decide the coop size). What I just have to accept is that my coop WILL be modified over time, and as I just informed my hubby-chances are we'll be building another coop next year! I so totally love my nine chicks (4 4 week olds, 2 3 week olds and my 2 week old) that I can't accept this as my limit! I'm trying to decide if I should start raising meat birds in the future- but my current flock is off limits to dinner! I have 3 special favorites already and at this point I couldnt eat them, but I think if I raised them w/ dinner in mind it wouldn't be an issue.

Thanks for the help, now I need to start posting elsewhere so I can brag more about my babies!
