Hello,

I just recently posted a few pictures of my chickens and it looks like I am going to have more rooster then hens. My questions are? Are these roo's going to fight amongst themselves? Also I really wanted to have some hens for the eggs. Can I add to my flock with already laying hens?

Any help I would appreciate. Thanks

Hi, I'm new at this but from what I do know you probably have too many roosters to keep together in one flock. I think the ratio is 1 roo per 8-10 hens. Some will get along with one another, others won't.

Many times with animals you don't know until they reach sexual maturity. They may be fine while free ranging if you have plenty of space, but I suspect they'd scrap if they're kept confined.
