Totally Addicted!!

Hi, my name is Betsy. I am from Louisiana and I am totally addicted to my chickies!!! LOL I am a new chicken momma to 6 eight week olds; 2 Americanas, 3 black sex-links and 1 Cornish. We built our own coop from pictures we saw on here and I am so proud of it. We just moved my babies out to the coop about 2 weeks ago and they are loving it!!! Everyone thinks I am totally nuts because I am a city girl. We moved to a more rural area about 5 years ago and I have been thinking about getting chickens. I finally took the plunge about 2 months ago and I am loving every minute of it!!!

This is the best chicken site I have found, thank you to everyone for all of your experience and knowledge.

YAY! That's so exciting! I never grew up with chickens but have wanted them since I was little, everyone thinks I'm odd about wanting chickens but, WHY NOT?! haha! Not only do they sound like they make great pets but they take of us as well by helping us put food on our table! haha!
