OK here's the link to calibrate thermometers:

http://cmfarm.us/ThermometerCalibration.html

If you scroll down there is a short video that explains how to do it. I just did this for my main thermometer and found it was off by 3.5 degrees. I'm figuring that is to blame for my poor hatch rates. Anyway, if you can get your temp reliable that is the most important thing.

Happy hatching!!!

thanks a bunch I looked at it but its not one of those digital thermometers its kinda like the old glass one my mom used to use when I was a kid lol its holding temp and I have 3 eggs in it so we ill see

i had one of those and my eggs never hatched!

I bought this one of ebay and wasn't at all impressed when it showed up but we will see it might surprise me I have been checking the temp a few times and day and making sure its got water in it I want one of the better bigger ones but money says no right now time will bring me what i want lol

I second putting it inside a styrofoam cooler, like you could buy at 7-11. It will help it keep the temperature steady. Either that, or keep it in a room that never changes temps. (not much chance of that. Good luck with your hatch. Hope you get something. Some people say they work, some people have zero luck with them. You will have to keep the humidity around 40% the first 18 days, then bump it up to around 60% for the last three, and through hatching. With an incubator that small and low tech, you must NOT open it while the eggs are hatching. You can buy a digital hygrometer/thermometer to let you know how your incubator internal environment is at all times just at a glance. Just because an incubator is smaller and cheaper, doesn't make it easier. In fact, it generally makes it a lot harder. You will really have to keep your eye on the temperature and humidity... Good luck.
