Toulouse gander in need of new home!

He is handsome. I’m new to birds and started with Ducks and Guineas. It started with guineas to eat all the darn ticks that have made me quite sick over the past few years with Lyme.
I had wanted to try a pair of geese esp Toulouse but see that a pair may not be a good idea. My fondness for ducks has grown from 2 to 8 now. I am hoping to read & learn more in the years to come to find a pair of geese that might be suitable.
Im in Northern Virginia near MD. I’m hoping to meet more folks here with birds to learn from. I wish you and your boy all the best and hope he finds a good forever home soon!

Oh, perhaps you didn’t see the part of the thread, he found a home with 3lovely geese to love up all to himself!! Geese are fine with ducks. Toulouse are a nice breed. My only issue is that you need a pair. Yes, during mating season you will have some fighting between dominant males...but, that’s typical of any species. Muscovies were the issue here. I have a very dominant one, and he’s not going anywhere. I didn’t want another goose, as, I raise livestock, and, I’m downsizing my duck numbers, not increasing. I had 51...now 17.

It was a bit late last night when I saw your thread.
I am desperately looking for fertile eggs to hatch in small numbers. Duck, turkey and goose. Can you give me some advice? If your not too far North I might drive up and meet you if you’d rather not mail them. I want to hatch an imprint another close buddy. I lost my 1-eyed Pekin when that damn raccoon returned to finish the job.
Ive 7 ducks now all outdoors and a gaggle of guineas for tick control that have stuck around.
Thanks for your reply. I’m happy your buddy has a new home and plenty of girlfriends!
