Toulouse Geese: Male or Female... any way to tell??

This is my Toulouse I have no idea it's sex lol I've had it for about six years but had two others with it up until two years ago. Someone was laying eggs when there was three, but now that there's the one I haven't found eggs. Could other factors be causing it not to lay if it is indeed female? Or does that just mean it's make since it's not laying??
Looks like a gander to me What happened to the other 2 if you don't mind me asking. have you thought of getting it a friend. Geese really do like the company of other geese.

Yes I am looking for another goose but was hoping I could get the opposite gender to breed. Unfortunately, one was taken by a predator and the other died and I'm not sure why :(

Well from what I see just by stance and thickness of the neck I'd say you have a gander and the fact you haven't had any eggs since you lost the other 2 pretty much verifies it.

Hope you can find him a mate he is a pretty boy.

Here are my two geese. I was wondering if the one in the foreground is likely the goose & the one in the back with the thicker neck & stouter body was a gander?

The foreground one just seems to have a more feminine neck. But I don't know. I got them well after the spring egg laying season, so I have no idea if I'm totally getting their genders wrong.

I also have 2 Toulouse geese. As gosling chicks one was smaller and more yellow and gray as opposed to the larger and darker gray gosling. They are now 2.5 months old and huge!! I can still tell them apart as the one still has a ting of yellow around the eyes only on the very edge of the eye lid and its feet are yellow again as opposed to the darker gosling with gray pigment on the web of its feet. The dark gosling beak is also turning a deep reddish orange.
Looking on metzer site they were sexing ducks by color . If this is applied to my goslings:
I believe the darker gosling is the female and the lighter is the male. The lighter is blocker and the dark once largest is now equal in size but not as hefty as the lighter gosling.
They are the light of my day. They go on field trips in the truck on the passenger floorboard , and waddle into the back porch at night to be put in a charge Tupperware tote for the night. They wait until I come to open the back door before scrambling down the ramp to the yard wings open and singing . I love them so much.

If you have a male and a female the female is the one that is built very low to the ground. The Gander gives the appearance of having longer legs. Also you may see feather gone off the back of their neck. And the obvious ways of who is on top in the pool or lays eggs. Also the Gander may appear protective of the female and be the larger one.

In my experience when raising goslings which had been sexed the females developed color in their legs and beaks much more quickly than the males. Though this is the exact opposite of what some people have been thinking, this has been the case with all five goslings I have raised.

mine looks exactly like yours, we were given it in april/may and its just going through the molt,we havent seen any eggs but it has been a bit protective to our young bantam, when the cock 1st started mating with her theyd run to each other, the rest of the chickens give it a wide birth, although our araucana roo had been seen jumping on its back a couple of times fo;;owed by the goose chasing him round the garden with winds half out and head up.

after a bit of reading on the net i found how to vent sex your goose and today sexed ours as female

get your goose upside down on your knee with neck under one arm, our goose calmed after about 30 seconds of fidgeting and kicking
locate the vent, i tried to find it by gently stroking her nether regions but i visually spotted it due to it being a bit stained by her pooh,
having my goose on my knee and neck under one arm, i held her down by leaning my forearms on her giving me 2 hands free at the vent. placing 3 fingers above the vent and 3 below you firmly but gently stroke away from the vent, i also used my thumbs to gently press down on each side. after a few seconds the vent opened slightly, after a few more strokes and it opening wider i was able to determine is wasnt a male
the 1st 2 images im assuming are younger geese
female

male

older male

all in all it wasnt a trying experience, although slightly undignified for the goose.
even then, 20 minutes later when i went into the garden she still ran upto me.

Can anyone provide any expertise on the gender of these 4 geese. I was hoping for 2 and 2 but can't tell.
