Ok- I have another thread on here with the build of my first coop. Here is a short video clip. I have to thank the users on BYC for many ideas. I implemented ideas from many pics I saw here and just started making trips to home depot and lowes. This is what I ended up with!

I'd line the top of the nesting box with lineoleum or something if they like to sit and poop on it. Would be easier to clean. Did you design this yourself? Did you go off of plans? I absolutely love this design and would love to make one similar.

Great idea! I am going to paint the nesting boxes a dark color and line the top with something. Linoluem is a great idea. There is a bit of space above the boxes and a few of the birds perch themselves up there for the night while the others sit on the regular perch. I am glad all of the real-estate in the coop is getting utilized.

One great tip we found on the site was to make the cover of the nesting boxes slanted to keep them from sitting and pooping on them...works great! Part of one roost is just over the edge however, and they did make a nice, large deposit there last night, LOL. Think I'll pass on the linoleum idea to DH. Thanks!

Oh and the slide out boxes are awesome...whole coop is GREAT! TFS
