Towel down to keep it clean?

I'm wondering if I can sneak a towel in (or wait until the next hatch to try this, or even hurry up and make a hatcher) under all of the eggs to keep it more sanitary. Would this work better or not? Would it save me the task of disinfecting the entire thing after each hatch?

Cheese cloth works better, still lets air around. If you incubat alot a hatcher is a good idea, that what I finally did it make clean up easier.
