Toy rant, why does everything have someone on it?

Yes. It's amazing how much mass marketing is around. I need $5000 if someone wants me to walk down the barbie isle. Disney can go take a hike.

I hate all the character junk, too.

I remember playing at my grandma's for hours with a marble track.

We spent every summer riding bikes, building forts out of sticks and sheets, painting on rainy days, I loved the Little People toys, etc. We made our own fun.

There is a store in the next town, called Mom & Pop's, that has a great selection of wooden/old-style toys. A little pricey, but the stuff will last many years.

Lehman's has some good ones, too.
