We got a Toyota recently due to my moms 99 corolla running so much better than any we have owned(ranger,rio,and sentra). I know all cars have problems but I wish they would have told us BEFORE we bought a prius about the brake issue(the dealers knew about the brakes since summer 2009).We would not have bought a car knowing it was being sold with a brake defect.I see all hybrids have this brake defect.And to boot the prius doesn't give us great mpg.Last we checked it was 39mpg,and my moms old car gets 34mpg!
Though we miss dh's Ford ranger at times we were glad to be rid of it.Ever since dh did a $500 service check on the truck it ran WORSE than before it was *checked* by the Ford dealer..
If we could do it over again I would just fix up my old 99 sentra. I look forward to selling the new car asap. I want a car with very little electronics,but lots of protection in accidents.
I don't care so much where something is made as long as it is good and safe not just cheap $$$$$ for me to buy.
