I have 3, one week old polish fuzzy butts. I think they're gettin' bored. I have one that loves to go and wake the other 2 up, and loves pulling on the others fuzz. Anyone have any ideas of something I can toss in there to keep them busy? They're as bad as a bunch of little kids!

Do they have a dusting pan? If not add a shallow pan of peat moss or sand. They will love it!

...and at that age they love to climb so add a stick they can climb around on. If your brooder is high enough, add a plastic step stool for them to climb to from the stick. They will also fly to the top of the stool and climb down if their wings aren't clipped.

If you really want to get them going add a tray of wheat sprouts and some crickets.

Ok! I'll get them some sand this weekend. I've got some stuff for them to climb on too. Right now My daughter put a little mirror in there for them, and they're having a blast trying to figure that out! Thank you so much for the tips!

The chicks are in a 10 gallon aquarium so I can keep them in the house, I added this rock like thing that the kids had for their hermit crabs. It kinda looks like driftwood. Do you think that will work for now?

Sure, they aren't picky as long as they can get a good grip on it, they'll climb on it. Just gives them a new view of the world. I try to give mine something new a least every few days, even if it's just a couple of tiny pieces of broccoli flower cut off and scattered in the cage or a paper towel draped over the stick one day, so they can go under it like a tent. Keeps them (and me) busy thinking.

Edit: Oh and don't be surprised if they ignore new food or object at first, or are scared of it. They brave up and try it soon enough.

Anything they can elevate themselves on (with out escaping of course ) I used a small dowel for them to roost on and then I put a bell hanging from the top of the cage. They would jump off the roost and ring the bell

They also for some reason liked to shred the paper towel. I also put in an old sock stuffed with paper towel. They would cuddle up on it to sleep at night

I added a small stuffed animal and they love taking turns jumping on top of it and they also snuggle with it

Cat toys also work great - the roll along the ground kind. A head of cabbage - cut a 1/4 of it and offer to the bitties - you can also hang it. Clump of weeds/grass with the dirt. Feather duster - also hang so they can run under like a hen.

Cooked spaghetti is also fun to watch them eat. Lots of churping and running.
