Track in the snow...Raccoon?

Two sets of tracks came out from under an old cabin on our place and wandered across the yard. A smaller set was up near the chicken coop... I know we have a pair of foxes here and last spring when our chicken coop was broken into and all the chicks and ducklings killed at once I thought it was the foxes. Most of the birds were carried off but a few were left behind. (there were 12 chicks--fully feathered and two ducklings). Now I'm wondering if it was coons?

Not really sure, it kinda looks like racoons to me too. I'd set a trap if I were you. Sounds like they will be back.

Yeah, hubby is talking about setting live traps pretty soon. Hopefully next week we'll have time to do it. If they're living right there I'm sure they'll be thinking of ways to get at our chickens!!

That looks raccoony to me as well, the way it narrows at the back. Glad you got a heads-up that they're in the area. Good luck!

Any tips for live trapping raccoons?? I've heard they're difficult to catch.
