Any tips for live trapping raccoons?? I've heard they're difficult to catch

They aren't hard to catch.

Use some sardines or cheap canned cat food for bait​

Just use canned cat food for bait in a in a live trap,they can't resist.

Place the trap along edges and places you think he might be walking. A baited trap in the middle of a field is much less likly to catch anything than an empty trap placed in a natural walking path. I use marshmallows and chicken feed as coon bait as to not attract cats.

We do have a ton of stray cats around here, one in particular that we see every couple days dashing from the garden to under the in-laws porch. Wouldn't mind catching him either... (I tend to find the stray cats outside staring at the cages when I have chicks out in the front yard catching some sun

)
