Tractor Designs - Need Pics

This is my 4th summer using this one

I've had to replace the tarp(s) and now have them cover the entire roof to the bottom frame.

I will get a pic of mine Craig and post it tonight. Getting ready to eat a pizza here as soon as the delivery guy gets here, such a crappy day out that neither one of us wanted to do or cook anything. Picked up a pig from the processor and that's about it, this lovely Ohio weather needs to break soon because our gardens are going to suffer from it. We have peas and garlic in the ground and that's IT!! This time last year the gardens were packed and tomatoes were already planted!!

O-well.

Anyhow, it's a Salatin type, but modified. I don't care for his tractors, they work for him but they are too flimsy I think. The one I have is 10 x 12 and I have wheels on all four corners, I'm loving this because it's so easy to move!! Three quarters of the roof is in tin (your trying to get away from tin... but look as it as an investment. I feel tarps would be too hot, I've used them and it's such a pain and you end up spending the money in the long run. Tarps get expensive when you have to replace them yearly or every other year. If they tear, your hit. Metal you can just caulk it...

It's made out of cedar and it's light. Find someone to do some custom saw milling for you as it saves money. The biggest feature I like from the pen is that it's sloped, 2 foot 6 inches at one end, 2 foot on the other.

Will get some pics up, in the meantime don't get washed away or blown away. Seems like the weather the last three weeks has been one or the other. Crazy.

My newest one employs 2x3 wire. First batch of birds went into it yesterday. Too soon to give you a report.

My old one uses 1/2" HW cloth. 3rd batch of CX, plus it has raised turkeys and pheasants without a loss.

Cost was about $100 each. Both 8'x8'.
